Shoutout to Barcadia, in Kingston, Ontario

The Pinballer crew recently had the pleasure of meeting Barcadia owner Jonathan McCreery, and general manager Rob Sheldon during their trek to Pennsylvania to pick up some arcade games – a T2 arcade gunner they won on eBay and a Wrestling Superstars arcade game they picked up in Manheim, PA.

Wanting to fill their vehicle, and looking to put more pinballs into their popular new arcade, the call came in for a very well maintained, all original Spring Break pinball machine we had here in our collection.

Sure enough, they rolled in right on schedule. We chatted pinball and arcades for quite awhile. Their arcade has only been around 3 months or so and it’s already been a huge success. Most games are only a quarter to play, and many people might be surprised at how well some of those vintage titles are doing.

Well enough to bring them down to the states from Ontario, that’s for sure. Whatever the reason may be, whether it’s the 20+ beers on tap or the great selection of classic arcade games, people are showing up, staying, and playing a lot of games. They even won an award for being the best spot to take a first date.

These guys are definitely doing it right and if you find yourself in Canada, make your way over to Kingston Ontario and give the Barcadia a try. You won’t be disappointed.
